Hi there! 👋🏼 I’m Michelle Huang, a cross-functional product leader based in New York.

In 8+ years at Google and Meta, I've been the person who figures out how work actually gets done, then builds the systems that make it easier: triage programs, intake processes, planning cadences, and knowledge bases teams rely on.

Most recently I led design and research operations for the Google Ads UX org. These days I also run Baby Lay, a Burmese food pop-up in New York.

Open to project/program management, product management, design & research ops, and product ops roles

001 / Reels Feedback Triage System

PROBLEM

Internal reports about Reels kept landing with the wrong teams, piling up in engineers' backlogs.

20% → 90%

confidence in understanding user issues

WHAT I DID

Designed an automated triage system that sorted every report into 16 themes and routed it to the right owner.

16

feedback themes

RESULT

Fewer misrouted reports, a smaller backlog, and product teams that finally trusted the signal, make informed decisions.

002 / Android Dogfooding Program

Instagram · Meta

PROBLEM

Most employees tested Instagram on iPhone, so Android issues surfaced late.

+92%

volume in internal user reports

003 / Ads IP enforcement tooling

PROBLEM

The ads copyright and counterfeit workflow was messy, and few people understood it end to end.

WHAT I DID

Led Instagram's first company-wide Android dogfooding program, recruiting employees to test and turning findings into a Voice of the Customer report.

WHAT I DID

Became the go-to person for ads IP tooling, partnering with Legal and Engineering to define requirements and fix the workflow.

RESULT

The report made the case for a dedicated Android-first product team

RESULT

Four tooling improvements shipped, and counterfeit reporting channels that luxury brands relied on.

+25%

98%

004 / Design & Research Ops

Google Ads

A UX org juggling 30+ initiatives with no shared view of priorities, capacity, or past research.

Starting a Burmese food pop-up from scratch: venues, vendors, menus, and pricing.

PROBLEM

Built intake, capacity planning, and a centralized tracker, managed vendors, and rolled out a Gemini Notebook knowledge base.

WHAT I DID

One view of status and risks for Product, Engineering, and Marketing, and past research that was easy to find.

005 / Baby Lay Food Pop-up

WHAT I DID
